About a Higher Purpose.

Destination Rethymno

Its been hours and hours, days and weeks and months of editing.. experimentation, improvisation, rendering and repeat.. stress, fear and tiredness crush you down in this long creative process.. You wake up everyday hunting for money, perfection, recognition and fame within the values that define you as human.. but at the end you're still alone, because no one understand your sacrifices, no one can share your pain, no one believes in you. Inspiration against time, time against life, artist against the creation, freedom against personal believes.. and still you have so much love to give.

Folk Wedding Film in Crete.

Rustic Cretan Wedding in Crete

A new documentary wedding film challenge at Megali Vrysi, a village in the municipality of Gortyna in Heraklion, Crete with a wonderful amphitheater view of the surrounding area. In front of the parade walks the musicians in accompaniment of the Cretan lyra and Cretan laouto (a stringed instrument resembling lute), playing folk bridal songs and "mantinades" consist of Cretan rhyming couplets, often improvised during each venue.. followed by the groom with the best man and behind them the guests. There some more "mantinades" convinces the bride's family to open the door that until then must remains closed. If not the groom breaks in the door, after entering the house with a flower bouquet, greets and kisses the hand of the bride's mother, takes her wish and asks to lead the bride to the church. The musicians go forward, then the couple and then the guests with guns and the rice or wheat that they will symbolically throw in the church, to wish for the new couple to "live long". A life experience, a blend of beautiful images, a variety of musical sounds and reality documentary.. a subconsious language Rustic Greek Wedding in Heraklion of Crete Island, Greece, featuring songs from the folk musicians Babis Voulgarakis, Babis Gaitanakis, Stelios Papadakis and Ilias Savvakis.

Elopement Wedding Film in Heraklion.

Kristy & Sotiris at chapel of St. Philaret.

The cinematic approach of George Stratigis & Marie Tzagaraki, documenting the Orthodox Marriage Ceremony of Kristy & Sotiris at the chapel of St. Philaret in the green area of botanical garden known as "Garden of Senses" in Heraklion, Crete. The teaser has a referense on the well know thoughts of Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski "On Love". The idea that giving to your partner can make you love them more may seem strange at first, but it makes sense if you really think about it. Why? Because when you give, you are investing a part of yourself in another person. The time and effort you spend makes you care more. In a way, giving causes your significant other to become an extension of you, and because we love ourselves, it makes us love them more. This is the exact same thing that happens when people have children. As a parent, you constantly give of yourself selflessly. You work hard to make sure your kids learn, grow, and have plenty of opportunities to succeed. The more time and effort you spend on them – the more of yourself that you give to them – the greater the love you feel. Giving has another power, too: the more you give, the more you will receive.

Soundtrack: HAEVN "Fortitude"

Dewy Elopement in Crete.

Kedrodasos, mystical & elusive!

The landscape in Kedrodasos is absolutely mystical and elusive, combined with the clear blue waters, will captivate your eyes, a beautiful forest of cedars that stretches along the rocky coast. The trunks and branches of the cedars are dehydrated during summer, with the movement of the sand their deep roots come to the surface, making them look like delicate postmodern sculptures that are exposed along the coast. The beach is full of juniper or cedar trees and sand dunes, reminiscent of a tropical beach. Small sea cedars belong to the species Juniperus oxycedrus and Juniperus phoenicea. A seductive elopement film in Crete featuring the influencers Alex Apostolakiss & Evi Kalogridi, coordination by Barbara Pavloudakis for Cora Weddings, in collaboration with the filmakers Marie Tzagkaraki, Manos Kasapakis.
